Microsoft recently came out with a new promotion in line with the holiday cheer. The company has cleverly named the promo "12 Days of Deals" with offers on the Xbox One and other Microsoft devices. Furthermore, the company also also unleashed a new experimental chatbot in the wild called Zo.
Black Friday deals and Cyber Monday deals have passed but PCs and handsets, among others are still being offered at discounted prices. The tech company has recently announced that the promotion will begin at 3 a.m. EST Monday with new deals everyday. Note that in-store and online offers may vary, until stocks last.
Furthermore, Microsoft is also offering free shipping as well as free returns for products purchased during this time. Over at the Microsoft store, the Xbox One will get $120 off on Dec. 11 only. The same price markdown will go to an unlocked Microsoft Lumia 650 on Dec. 12. Additionally, an Acer Liquid Jade Primo Bundle will get $150 off on Dec. 15, according to report.
Online, Microsoft will be offering $250 off on the Surface Pro 4 128GB with free sleeve on Dec. 8 only. Additionally, $19.99 games will get an additional 50 percent off on Dec. 7. Moreover, up to $1,000 off awaits selected gaming PCs on Dec. 14.
In other news, Microsoft released a new interactive software that users may communicate with via writing or speaking. Note that chatbots have been used by several companies as help-desk assistants. It is believed that Microsoft used AI techniques on chatbot Zo with deep learning and natural language processing, Fortune reported.
Microsoft has also enabled Zo to be trained to understand the human language. Microsoft, like Google and Facebook, reportedly sees a large market in the future for chatbots. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also noted that chatbots enable tasks like ordering taxis can be accomplished easily by requesting the chatbot to do it for you.
