GoPro Latest News & Update: Karma Grip At $299; Accessory Compatible With Hero 5 & Hero 4

It's official! GoPro's Karma stabilizer grip is available for sale at $299 which is originally part of the newest Karma drone. Just last month, the company has released an official statement with regard to the latter's recall due to its power loss issue during operations.

Karma Grip is designed to help its users capture stabilized videos and footages even with extreme movements due to outdoor adventures such as hiking, biking, running, skiing, and the like. The grip accessory is compatible with Hero 5 as well as Hero 4 Black and Silver. This is available both online, via company's website and in physical stores at $299.

The $299 Karma Grip is inclusive of the grip handle, Karma stabilizer, Hero5 harness, USB-C cable, wrist lanyard, tie-down strap, mounting ring, and the durable and water resistant grip case. Plus, there will be a grip extension cable which will be available in the first quarter of 2017. It has a built-in battery that can last up to 1 hour and 45 mins and takes 6 hours to fully power up with 1-amp charger. Length is around 8 inches and weighs 242 grams.

GoPro's CEO and founder Nicholas Woodman said that the Karma Grip will make it easier to capture shake-free, Hollywood caliber type of footage that is absolutely spectacular. Additionally, aside from stabilizing videos, GoPro users can already use the device's control to turn on/off the camera, regulate the video recording, and tag specific shots.

Meanwhile, Investopedia reports that GoPro also confirmed the release of an upgraded remote voice control feature called Remo. This offers longer range voice control for Hero5 cameras, can understand ten languages, and can hear commands during windy and noisy surroundings. The Karma Grip is definitely a must-have for adventurous people.
