Battlefield 4 on PC Requires 28.3GB [VIDEO]

Battlefield 4 on PC confirmed to require 28.3GB space for pre-load

The day we all have dreaded for such a long time is now here. DICE has finally confirmed that the PC pre-load size for Battlefield 4 indeed weighs up to 28.3GB.

A recently released video from EA showing off the ability to pre-load the PC version of DICE’s Battlefield 4 revealed that the overall pre-load size for the game on PC is 28.3 GB. For a confirmation about the same, check out the video below at exactly 0:30 mark.

What this means is that not only Battlefield 4 will occupy roughly 30 GB of hard disk space, but it will also need 8 GB of RAM and Windows 8 64-bit to actually run without any real problems.

For the sake of comparison, the PC version of Battlefield 4 requires 10 GB less than the same for Call of Duty: Ghosts, as far as install size is concerned – which asks for 40GB space.

However, DICE had already revealed the PC requirements for Battlefield 4 on Twitter last month where it was stated that the rRecommended system requirements for the game required Windows 8 64-bit, an Intel quad-core CPU or AMD six-core CPU, 8 GB of RAM, AMD Radeon HD 7870 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 with 3 GB of graphics memory and a hefty 30GB of hard drive space.

As far as Minimum system requirements for Battlefield 4 is concerned, it was revealed that players will at least need a Windows Vista SP2 32-bit, an AMD Athlon X2 2.8 GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, an AMD Radeon HD 3870 or Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT with 512 MB of grapics memory, although the 30GB space requirement stayed constant at 30GB.

“Battlefield 4 features an intense and character-driven single player campaign, fused with the strongest elements of multiplayer. Pilot vehicles, take advantage of the dynamic destructible environments and don't let your squad down,” the official page for the game states.

Battlefield 4 is currently scheduled to release for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on Oct. 29 in North America and Nov. 1 in Europe, with versions for PS4 and Xbox One arriving in Q4 2013.
