'Halo 5: Guardians' Latest News & Update: 'Monitor's Bounty' Free Expansion DLC Unleashes Today
"Halo 5: Guardians" will receive its latest free expansion called "Monitor's Bounty" DLC today, December 8th, according to developer 343 Industries. There will be crossover of several weapons from earlier iterations like "Halo: Reach" but the biggest draw are new maps to explore.
Here is another nice change routing towards "Halo 5: Guardians," a custom game browser is now possible. There is limited information about what this option can actually do, same is the case with new Observer Mode for what 343 calls "Monitor's Bounty" DLC. "Halo 5: Guardian" Observer Mode allows watching custom games.
Apart from watching, this "Halo 5: Guardians" DLC allows custom game progress to be viewed. This tool can help those who want to know how game are progressing without disrupting the players. Observers can toggle camera controls in real-time even as the game starts, Halo blog reported.
Now here is another cool "Halo 5: Guardians" that "Monitor's Bounty" sports; a custom game browser can locate custom games and players can join. Of course, there is privacy setting for exclusive groups to ward off non-friends. GameSpot said that players have been craving for this "Halo 5: Guardians" for a long time but they have to wait for better content browser and search engine to make it work. These two requisites are important to ensure that custom game browser will fire up and run smoothly.
Remember that this "Halo 5: Guardians" DLC is for free, thus, coming with it is a paid content. 343 said that the only paid content available in "Monitor's Bounty" are voices of new multiplayer announcers. Voices of War Req pack will feature actor Nathan Fillion, Yabda the Merciless and 031 Exuberant Witness. This pack costs $10 and can be gifted to fellow players. In fact, "Halo 5: Guardians" is encouraging this gift system and will give away Req pack that will only work once gifted.
