HTC Vive 2 Release Date, Specs, Latest News & Updates: Vive 2 Features Higher 4K Resolution & Will Be Released at CES. Details Here!

With remarkable features, HTC Vive 2 is set to be released in the market in 2017 and it will most likely be released at The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 most. CES is expected to happen through the first week of January 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

HTC Vive 2 will reportedly sport a higher resolution, letting users enjoy sharp images on lively display. Users are able to connect it to their computers via WiFi, therefore, an HDMI cable is not needed.

HTC's representative Rikard Steiber said that HTC is keen on adding brand new features to HTC Vive 2 noting that this is only the first year of a new set of VR experiences. "I think with the amount of innovation going on into space and the amount of players coming into the space, I do think that innovation cycles will be sort of annual," he said.

According to MobilenApps, another suggested HTC Vive 2 feature is the room-scale technology where the virtual reality world can be shaped through this feature. Additionally, HTC also plans to enhance the headset's lighthouse mechanics as some users found the first Vive difficult to operate but the forthcoming HTC Vive 2 is going to be user friendly and more flexible.

To make HTC Vive 2 a wireless device, HTC is working with TPCast and the company is in ongoing discussions with Quark VR in Bulgaria to craft wireless connectivity accessories for the users of Vive. HTC will be selling Vive 2 through its online stores although customers can also purchase it from other retailers.

The HTC Vive, which sports two sensors and two controllers, was sold for $800 and it also earned the VR Headset of the Year award. Experts and users also gave it positive reviews though it was only great when paired with high-powered computers. HTC Vive 2 might cost more than the HTC Vive.
