Charlie Hunnam News & Update: ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Star’s ‘King Arthur: Legend of Sword’ Pushed Back; Guy Ritchie Praised For Different Take?

Fans have been waiting on any updates on when they will see Charlie Hunnam once again on the small and big screens. It looks like his followers won't be happy to know that some report revealed that he might not be in "Sons of Anarchy" prequel and his latest movie's, "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" release is once again pushed back.

Warner Bros. just recently reshuffled the release dates of its incoming movies in 2017 that include Charlie Hunnam's film, according to Variety. The comedy movie "CHiPs" is first slated for an Aug. 11 release but will now be seen on March 24 while Nick Robinson and Amandla Stenberg's romantic flick "Everything Everything" will be moved on May 19.

Charlie Hunnam's "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" release date has been moved several times from its original premiere. It is first set to be revealed on July 22, 2016 but moved to Feb. 17, 2017. Now, the film's launch is changed once again from March 24 to May 12.

Moreover, We Got This Covered noted that this might be the final and true release date of "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword." However, Charlie Hunnam's movie will have to go head-to-head with other much-awaited films like "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" and "Alien: Covenant," which is also moved earlier from its release in August.

It has been said that Guy Ritchie's take of "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" is like a combination of "Lord of the Rings" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels." With his invaluable adaptation of "Sherlock Holmes" franchise, it is safe to say that the upcoming Charlie Hunnam film will also be great.

Aside from Charlie Hunnam, "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" also has Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey, Jude Law, Djimon Hounsou, Eric Bana and Katie McGrath. It is produced by Akiva Goldsman, Ritchie, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, and Hunnam himself.
