'Doom' Latest News & Updates: The Game's Latest Free Update Adds Bot Support & New Multiplayer Mode, More Details Here!

The newest update for "Doom" is now available for free, which introduces a number of fresh features to the game's multiplayer mode. The update includes bot support among others letting fans to play against AI-controlled opponents.

However, for now, this is only offered in the less-complex game modes, Team Deathmatch and Deathmatch on "Doom." This is also limited in playing the multiplayer maps' original slate.

According to GameSpot, the update 5 of "Doom" presents a new multiplayer mode, Infernal Run, which is the game's take on the Uplink mode "Call of Duty." In this mode, two teams fight to hold onto a ball, which is an eyeball that creates a terrible noise, in particular, that must be tossed or carried to the opponent's goal to score.

With this update, the level cap of "Doom" also increases where players will be able to reach Echelon 11, which entitles players an exciting reward in the form of the game's marine armor. According to PC Gamer, this armor is also available in SnapMap, which has small additions like 30 new Lazarus Lab modules as well as other new modifiers. The full and detailed patch notes are available on Bethesda's website.

Additionally, double XP will be given starting now until Dec. 12 at 9 AM PT and 12 PM ET to convince players to check out all of these. On Dec. 15, id Software will launch the third and final DLC pack, which will include three fresh maps as well as a Spectre Pinky demon who can transform into being invisible.

Developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks, "Doom" is a first-person shooter video game released on May 13, 3016 for Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4. It is powered by id Tech 6 and a reboot of the "Doom" series. It is the main series' fourth title and the first major installment since "Doom 3's" release in 2004.
