'Limitless' Season 2 Renewal Update: Other Network to Continue Show? Online Petition Opens Possibility for Sequel

Why did CBS axe such a great show? This has always been the unanswered question that fans are still asking for now. After all, Craig Sweeney's announcement of "Limitless" official cancellation, supporters are still begging the network to give the show another chance. However, it seems like CBS is determined to flatly decline the petitions but here's a catch, it seems like other networks might get the full rights to air "Limitless" Season 2, thank all the appeals online.

Petition and "Limitless" Season 2 Renewal

Ever since rumors about the cancellation lurked around the web and when the showrunner Craig Sweeney announced on his twitter account that there will be no more "limitless" season 2, fans of the show started to create online petitions such as "Renew Limitless for Season 2" in thepetitionsite.com and to change.org "Bring Back LIMITLESS for season 2". As of writing, thepetitionsite's appeal already have 38,000 supporters out of 40,000 goal while change.org's petition have 884 signers out of 1,000 goal.

Based on the petitioner's message in change, the letter (sarcastically) reason out the possible reason why CBS canceled the show.

"Maybe because it didn't involve zombies, superheroes, or sharks and tornadoes. It was way too early for Limitless to be cut."

On the other hand, there are rumors that it is not only because of the viewership rating why the show did not receive a green signal for "Limitless" Season 2. According to Yibada, one of the reason might be the show's storyline. The series covered the "NZT" drug.

Meanwhile, for "Limitless" Season 2 update, though there are reports that Netflix and Amazon passed for the show's renewal to their network, there are still other networks namely CW, ABC, Hulu, and A&E that are yet to confirm their decision.
