The consequences to Jane's decision to Zip Roman in the midseason finale will unveil in the midseason premiere of "Blindspot" Season 2. This is what Alex Berger confirmed, when asked for some spoilers about Roman's fate in the second half of the season.
Berger said that Roman's memories will eventually return in the midseason premiere of "Blindspot" Season 2. Jane will have no choice but to bring them back, since his memories are essential for the FBI to capture Sandstorm.
Previous spoilers for the midseason premiere of "Blindspot" Season 2 revealed that the season will focus on the capture of Sandstorm. Now that the organization has gone underground, the FBI needs all the information they can get to track Sandstorm down. They can no longer rely on Jane, since Shepherd already busted her as a loyal FBI agent in the midseason finale.
This is when the FBI convinces Jane to bring Roman's memories back in the midseason premiere of "Blindspot" Season 2. After all, he is the only remaining credible link to Sandstorm. Unfortunately, Berger teased some spoilers about the consequences of this decision for Jane and Roman's relationship.
Naturally, this will put their relationship to the test in the midseason premiere of "Blindspot" Season 2 . Berger said that Roman might remember that Jane wiped his memories and that she betrayed Sandstorm. This will inadvertently tear the siblings apart again.
"To have any hope of stopping Sandstorm, Jane will need Roman to recover memories - but if he remembers her injecting him with ZIP, erasing his memory, it will tear them apart," Alex Berger told TV Line when asked for spoilers about the midseason premiere of "Blindspot" Season 2.
