‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ Release Date, News & Update: Why Will Optimus Prime Kill Bumblebee? [SPOILERS, PREDICTIONS]

Paramount finally released the highly anticipated "Transformers: The Last Knight" trailer earlier this week. The footage left fans wondering why Optimus Prime was seen fighting Bumblebee, with the former seemingly ready to kill.

According to Screen Rant, the "Transformers: The Last Knight" trailer garnered numerous praises from viewers. Fans were greatly concerned with a portion of the clip, which showed Bumblebee with a beaten face after fighting with Optimus Prime.

Viewers are desperate to know the reason behind the fight and understand why Optimus Prime was already prepared to kill Bumblebee in "Transformers: The Last Knight". Some sources claim that they know the answer.

The trailer of "Transformers: The Last Knight" shows Optimus Prime as he is frozen in space. Whether he was actually dead remains a mystery. It can be recalled that in the original animated series, Optimus Prime has been brought back to life many times in different times.

In "The Transformers: The Movie", the Autobot Matrix of Leadership fell in the hands of Autobot Hot Rod after Megatron killed Optimus Prime. Optimus Prime was resurrected by the Quintessons, which later used him to steal the Matrix of Leadership. This explains why Hot Rod was on a warpath against autobots in "Transformers: The Last Knight" movie.

The "Transformers: The Last Knight" trailer itself contained no actual mention about Quintessons. What we do know is that Megatron will be appearing in the movie. In fact, in the last portions of the trailer, Megatron appears to be the Matrix of Leadership. This might just be the very reason that pushed Optimus Prime to go haywire, according to Collider.

Around the "Transformers: The Last Knight" trailer's 1:20 mark, fans spotted what appears to be Unicron, a massive Transformer consuming planet. This could be another clue. The highly anticipated film is set to it big screens on June 23, 2017.
