Funimation gets the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 rights, Crunchy Roll reports. The entertainment company also announces on Twitter that the popular TV series will start premiering on April 2017 in Japan.

"It's been more than three years since the last episode of Attack on Titan Season 1 and passion from its fans has not waned. We look forward to premiering it on FunimationNow," CEO and founder of Funimation Gen Fukunaga said in a press release.

After "Attack on Titan" Season 1 ended, it became an international hit. Many fans crave for more, especially when the last episode ends with Annie Leonhart has been covered in crystals. According to a source, this character crystalized herself.

In "Attack on Titan" Season 1, fans discovered that Annie is also a titan. She is a type of girl who loves being alone and she is rarely seen smiling.
