Vanillite is not a hard to find kind of Pokémon. Nevertheless, its nest will not be found until the player has access to the last island in the game, Ula'ula Island. As soon as you have reached it, head to Tapu Village and begin hunting. Catching Vanillite though is a little different compared to other Pokémon's. Players must employ with any Pokémon and encourage it to ask for help. Vanillite is more frequently seen to answer to SOS than a direct encounter with it.

As soon as the trainer gets to meet a Vanillite, make sure not to let the Pokémon faint until it is caught. Use False Swipe move to this Pokemon. This way, it can preserve its HP and not easily weaken, says IGN.

Contrasting to other evolved Pokemon, the evolved Vanillish can also be caught in the wild. According to Pokemongohub, its nest can be found in the fourth island of Alola region in Mount Lanakila. Like its base form, it can only be chanced upon through SOS battle. Players have to ask every Pokemon encountered to call for help.
