Call of Duty: Ghosts News - PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 Versions Get Update, Fixes UI, Spawn Crashes, and More
Call of Duty: Ghosts, the latest introduction to the ever-popular Call of Duty series from Activision and Infinity ward, has now received an update for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 versions of the game, but it's the PC version that reaps the majority of the benefits, with multiple fixes for crashes and the game's UI.
While there are a host of fixes and improvements brought alongside the new update, one of the fascinating things the update is offering is Nvidia’s PhysX and Fur tech support.
The fur tech support shows off Riley’s new coat, giving his hair high-quality and realistic fur that reacts to the environment, whether the fur is attached to the calvary canine, or NPC animals like wolves or multiplayer attack dogs. “Do note that AMD users are able to enable this Fur tech, so kudos to the green team. Nvidia’s GPU-accelerated PhysX effects, on the other hand, are exclusive to its cards and add realistic, dynamically-reacting particle effects throughout the game via APEX,” DSOGaming states to explain the this fur tech.
It's unknown if Infinity Ward has actually optimized the game's engine accordingly for it, but it has been confirmed that Nvidia's exclusive PhysX features have indeed been added to it.
