'Resident Evil 7' Latest News & Update: Run or Hunt as Capcom Hid Weapons Inside the Mansion
"Resident Evil 7" is not about trying to survive Baker's family and other horrific creatures attacking your character. Capcom confirmed that one major leap for the game is combat and player are not sitting ducks but can be lethal as well.
Don't get too cocky on trailers saying that Jack Baker is immortal or his sons are too brutal. "Resident Evil 7" Producer Masachika Kawata said that players are not only to defend themselves as we described here at GameNGuide. Rather, they can hunt as well on few instances. In fact, "Resident Evil 7" will sport a range of arsenal at player's disposal though it comes at a price.
Kawata devilishly grinned and said that while players will get excited with the idea of hunting Jack instead of evading him, there is a wall to hold the hype. These weapons are hard to find and "Resident Evil 7" made sure that they hid them well within the game. Meaning, until gamers found an a-bomb all they can do for a while inside the Mansion is run and hide. Make no mistake about it, Kawata himself said that this running game is going to take the most of gamer's time.
One classic example of how gamers can obtain these weapon is unlocking them, Gaming Bolt said. "Resident Evil 7" also made sure that players will drool on some instances where weapons were stored in plain view. However, how could they get a gun if it is inside a cage and it needs a key to open it?
Kawata explained that "Resident Evil 7" is a class all by itself and it is different from its predecessor in some cases. This locked or hidden weapon is a testament that Capcom made a different game. On the contrary, "Resident Evil 7" predecessors simply handed over the weapons to players.
So, are you ready to ink a compromise with "Resident Evil 7?" After all, challenges and fun are what defines excellent games. Then think of "Resident Evil 7" because it has them all.
