‘Fast and Furious 8’ Premiere Date, News & Update: Full Trailer, New Title Revealed

A few months away from the premiere of the much awaited "Fast and Furious 8", fans are already clamoring for more and more updates. Well, the latest is that the cast were all in New York City on Sunday to reveal the anticipated movie's trailer.

Universal Pictures recently dropped the first trailer for "Fast and Furious 8". Just watching the trailer, fans will already know that they are in for another epic adventure.

In the "Fast and Furious 8" trailer, everyone was shown suddenly going after Dom (the character being played by Vin Diesel), wanting to take him down. The sneak peek might probably got everyone asking if Dom has gone bad. Well, that is another reason to watch out for the movie's premiere, right?

New Title and New Faces Revealed

Aside from the trailer, "Fast and Furious 8" has another revelation to make. As they unveil its trailer, the cast also uncovered the anticipated movie's title which is "The Fate of the Furious".

New faces from the upcoming "Fast and Furious 8" are featured along with the usual cast. One of them is "The Huntsman: Winter's War" star Charlize Theron and she looks super fierce. The Oscar winner Hellen Mirren will join the cast as well.

Theron and Mirren will work on "Fast and Furious 8" along with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Jason Statham and Michelle Rodriguez. Tyrese Gibson is tapped to join the cast too, playing the character Cipher.

More "Fast and Furious" Movies?

Since the world can't get enough of the gang, Universal has slated two more "Fast and Furious" movies after "Fast and Furious 8". On top of that, it already has set target dates for each movie's release.

Vin Diesel took this confirmation on his official Instagram account. The 9th installment of the film is set to premiere on April 19, 2019 while the 10th will be on April 2, 2021. In the meantime, fans should anticipate "Fast and Furious 8" first, which is slated to premiere on April 14 next year.
