According to CNet, Ricoh has taken off two features for Ricoh Theta SC and this is because of the consumer research. Ricoh's latest version will have a recording time that will continue up to 5 minutes only, unlike Theta S' 25 minutes recording.
Ricoh Theta SC will also miss its Micro-HDMI and its ability to produce live streaming. As a result, SC is sold at a lower price. Another difference is that Ricoh Theta SC misses the soft-touch exterior that Theta S has.

Ricoh Theta SC comes in different colors such as beige, blue, pink, and white. It is designed to promote easiness and enjoyability of use.
According to Imaging Resource, the distinct design of Ricoh Theta SC allowed so much convenience as it can be operated while using one hand alone, placed on a tripod or smooth surface. It can also be easily controlled while using an iOS or Android phone. The company has also updated the app used along with Ricoh Theta SC to make it more user-friendly, even to those who are not tech-savvy.

The response, too, has become quicker as it only needs 1.5 seconds waiting time after turning the power on. It also comes with a commercial virtual reality viewer to let users experience the virtual world.

Ricoh Theta SC is available worldwide, and the price started from $300 in the US. This is already cheap especially when it's compared to its feature.
