‘Gravity Rush 2' Release Date, News & Update: Animated Prequel Movie Revealed

The "Gravity Rush 2" game will be released this coming 2017. Aside from further details on the video game, an animated prequel movie has been revealed.

September of 2015 when "Gravity Rush 2" announced at Sony's Tokyo Game Show 2015. The game is also known as "Gravity Daze 2" in Japan. This game will be released exclusively for PlayStation 4.

A video trailer was released by Sony and Japan's Studio featuring Kat and Raven, the main characters of "Gravity Rush 2." In the trailer video, it showed new features in the upcoming game, including new environment, updated map, new quest and new characters. News Everyday cited that the new characters will probably play as villains.

Also in the teaser video of "Gravity Rush 2" video game, a preview of upcoming animated prequel movie titled "Gravity Rush: The Animation Overture" was showed. The special animated movie will be released by Studio Khara and it will serve as the bridge to fill in the narrative gap between the first game and the sequel.

One Angry Gamer reported that the trailer video was actually for game content overview, showing all features and maneuvers that are present in the realm of the game when it released. "Gravity Rush 2" animated prequel film is scheduled to release sometime next year before the game sequel official launching date.

The "Gravity Rush 2" plot will start up where the first game left off. It will take place in an ethnic town, which is reportedly familiar somewhere on South America or Southeast Asia's cultural atmosphere. The "Gravity Rush" game sequel will be released only for PlayStation 4 and no announcement for for other Play Station's versions.

"Gravity Rush 2" official release date in Australia and Europe are on January 18, 2017 and January 19, 2017 in Japan. The release for North America and the United Kingdom are both scheduled on January 20, 2017.
