‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Season 1, Season 2 Remake Possible? ‘TG’ Third Installment Cancelled? [PLOT, PREDICTIONS]

The fate of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 remains uncertain, although it has been rumored that the series will have new episodes this winter. However, fans continue to wait for the official updates from the animation studio or the network that aired the series.

Since details of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 are being kept under wraps for a long time, fans start to believe that "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 has been canceled. And if turns out to be true, fans can't seem to care less, based on their sentiments on Reddit.

According to some Redditors who are followers of the franchise, "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 won't be necessary. Some viewers are not quite happy about how Studio Pierrot handled the anime series. According to one AxentKishu, a remake of Season 1 and Season 2 would be more exciting. As what followers have observed, Studio Pierrot deviated too much from the original manga material that some of its important elements weren't carried over to the TV adaptation.

If "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 would be released, avid supporters would want it to follow at least most of the storylines in the manga series. That way, the series will stay true to its nature, and at the same time, viewers can enjoy more episodes. At the moment, it has been agreed that a remake of the previous seasons would be highly unlikely. As for the third season, many also argue that it's not happening.

"Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is believed to feature the events found in "Tokyo Ghoul: re," which is the sequel to the original manga. There isn't really any official information regarding the existence of a new season of the animated series, but fans are hanging on to reports that it exists based on the report from Otakukart.

As per the report, official sources confirmed that "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will be released and it will focus on Kaneki becoming a Kanuja and dealing with new villains. Touka's backstory and her college journey will also be highlighted. Kaneki Ken and Arima will also fight each other, and this is believed to be the climax of the series. The release date wasn't mentioned but Season 3 is reportedly coming out next year or in 2018.
