Best Video Games of 2016 Latest News & Update: Top Games in Metacritics Ranking - Part 2

Too many titles are worthy of being placed in best games of 2016 but there are few who are lucky to receive high number of reviews. GameNGuide gave the initial list of best titles for this year, the likes of "Forza Horizon 3," "Owlboy," "Dark Souls 3" and "Titanfall 2." Here we will continue rounding them up, so for the second time around - fire them away!

Blizzard is indeed on top of the industry and thanks to "Overwatch," they elevated the game into a whole new level. "Overwatch" got mixed reviews but all of them landed in at least 90 score and PC version of closed at 91. "Overwatch" doesn't have a single player mode but what made up for this lack is a good number of playable characters. We like to think that Blizzard is bent on making "Overwatch" an eSport level title so they simply swat the solo gameplay.

If there is a list of developers who have high potentials, Playdead games might land in it, given that "INSIDE" reaped a good 92 score based on 86 reviews. "INSIDE" is a follow up for the developer's earlier iteration "Limbo" which also received acclamations. Playdead cunningly made the game atmosphere into a thrilling one albeit absence of dialogue. Come to think of it, "INSIDE" is an indie game that sports a lot of commonalities with AAA titles.

Now we go to the top, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" sports a total of 93 Metacritic score for its 113 reviews. These figures are not an easy feat considering that a good number of titles are vying for recognition and at some point, attention. Naughty Dog has made the closing chapter to Nathan Drake saga into a blockbuster and gamers are happy about it. "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" has indeed rounded up all elements into a masterpiece, from storyline, graphics, sounds and gameplay.

And here we deem our list complete. Don't worry, a disclaimer that there are other worthy names out there that didn't make it here for sheer reason that some released this holiday and there are limited number of reviews for them. Others simply started with fireworks yet ended with lesser attention from game reviewers.

Consider this though: had other titles unleashed at the end of 2016 last quarter, they could have toppled the names in our list. This one is a win-win argument, right? No bad game, just wrong timing.
