Taiwanese firm ASUS may just be another smartphone manufacturer whose prime purpose is to compete with its fiercest rivals— Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics — but the tech player is also known for a distinct trait, one that separates itself from the rest of the crowd: its multitude of smartphone choices. This quality has become quite evident when it started to launch its flagship line of smartphones, the ASUS ZenFone roster. And while this doesn't bode well for some companies such as Sony, this type of marketing works very much so for it as its entries are also known to be that inexpensive. Its latest gift to its consumers -- ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom.

Android Headlines has revealed that a new ZenFone 3-toting smartphone, ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom, has now been certified by the FCC in the U.S. Further, it has noted that the forthcoming smartphone has also been certified by China's TENAA recently. While both have certified the smartphone under the same model number, it still couldn't be determined whether it is indeed the said smartphone as named. Nevertheless, the latest certification could very well be an indication that the device could be available in the U.S. anytime soon.

ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is set to be launched in an all-metal aesthetics, sporting three capacitive buttons right below its display. Meanwhile, the company's inescapable logo is situated at the back of the unit along with its dual-camera set up, the dual LED flash and the fingerprint scanner as well. As such, the unit will come with 16-megapixel shooters at the back and will be armed with 13MP snapper at its front.

ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is expected to be encased in a 5.5-inch fullHD with 1920 X 1080 resolution display. It is to be fueled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and will be supported by 2GB, 3GB, and 4G of random access memory (RAM) and 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of native storage tiers. All of these will be powered by a massive 4,850mAh, just more than enough to compensate the advanced specs of the device.

ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with firm's proprietary ZenUI. It will be available in black, gold and silver variants.
