Xiaomi has launched its latest two-wheeled self-balancing scooter called Mi Electric Scooter which will be available starting December 15. The Mi Electric Scooter is Xiaomi's third electric vehicle that it had released.
Xiaomi MI Electric Scooter is another product that the China's tech giant added to its range of electric two-wheel vehicle. Last year, Xiaomi released Ninebot mini as a debut for its expanding its business to other products. A few months ago, Xiaomi released its second electric vehicle called Qicycle Electric Bike.
According to Gadgets360, Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter is powered by an LG 1850 EV-lithium ion battery with a capacity of 280Wh. The scooter can run at a speed of 25kmph with an instantaneous power of 500W. It has a built of an aircraft grade aluminium alloy and weighs 12.5kg which can be carried around.
Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter has an impressive feature of compressing itself by folding within three seconds by pressing a button. It also support E-ABS anti-lock system at the front of the scooter and a double disk braking system which ensures a smooth halt when break is pressed.
In addition, Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter has a Kinetic Energy Recovery System that recovers the dissipated energy when the scooter is running and converts it into electrical energy. The process prolongs the battery life and helps conserve electricity, News18 reported.
Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter also sports Bluetooth connection which users can connect to their smartphones. It helps user to check the status its battery life, track their speed and other information available.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter will be available first in China with a price of CNY1999 or $289. The tech giant still plans on how the scooter can be made available to the other countries. The scooter has two color variants White and Black but there's no confirmation if the company will add other color options. On the other hand, Xiaomi Qicycle Electric Bike is still available priced at $434.
