‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers, Latest News & Update: Here’s the Truth About the Delay; Plot for 3rd Season Revealed!

"Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is no doubt one of the most anticipated anime this year. However, fans are disappointed that 2016 is almost over, yet Kaneki Ken is still a no show.

The long delay makes fans think that "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is not coming anymore. However, fans should keep in mind that the producing team of the series has already confirmed the third installment of the show so there is really no need to get worried.

Real Cause of Delay

But what is keeping "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 on hold? There are many speculations when it comes to the cause of its delay but the most logical one is the lack of sufficient materials for the third season to be released.

It was said that although there are already 12 "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 episodes in the file, the producers think that they may experience problems with the continuity if the series suddenly ends because there are no extra episodes on standby. So, this means there is not enough supply to guarantee the smooth airing of the show.

Now, seeing that the lack of extra episodes could pose possible issues in the future, the production team of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3, decided that it will be better to indefinitely postpone the show until they have enough materials on hand. The producers are just doing this to ensure that the upcoming season will not appear incomplete.

Spoiler

Moving on, in "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3, fans will see Haise Sasaki as the protagonist in the anime. He has many similarities with Ken Kaneki because it was revealed that they are actually the same person.

As it turned out, Kaneki did not die when he was beaten to a pulp by Arima in the series' previous season. "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will show that Sasaki will slowly regain back his memories and will realize who he really is.

Sasaki/Kaneki became friends with Rize Kamishiro, a ghoul who stuffs herself with human flesh to live. Kamishiro once tried to eat Kaneki but he was able to escape.

Kaneki always avoids her at first but he soon learned that he is still alive because Kamishiro's organs which were transplanted into him. He was saved by the transplant but this is also the reason why he is half ghoul now, having organs from a ghoul made him this way. Meanwhile, the possible premiere of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is within the first quarter of 2017.
