Call of Duty: Ghosts Diamond Division Starts in February

Call of Duty: Ghosts Diamond Division Kkicking Off in February

Activision’s Raven Software-powered Call of Duty: Ghosts has made most out of a situation where the game’s big release was given a slight boost with all the bugs and problems plaguing its nearest competitor Battlefield 4. Now the multiplayer mode of the game is set for an even bigger stage with a new Diamond Division set to open up for fans of Clan Wars in February.

Apparently, the Diamond Division will be open to those who have grabbed at least two first place finishes in the Platinum Division.

The official Reddit post for the same states: “The community (especially the hardcore community) asked for Clan Wars to be more skill-based and less of a grind. We've answered today with the announcement of Diamond Division.”

“Diamond Division, which your clan leader will be able to opt into once you have at least two first place finishes in Platinum, has a different ruleset and timing.”

“Diamond Division will be Friday to Sunday, with a four-hour window of playtime each day, for a total of 12 hours of playtime. This should make high-end clan wars play more strategic. We're planning on letting clans opt into timezone-based periods so that people who work, have jobs and children, or go to school can play hard without sacrificing,” it adds.

“More info will come in the future as we get close to the first Diamond Division Clan War, which we expect to have in February.”

Another post for the same states: “Wars in the Diamond Division are played out separately from the Bronze through Platinum Division pool. Diamond Division wars span three days, Friday through Sunday, with a four-hour window of playtime each day. This means that each Diamond Division Clan War lasts for a total of 12 hours, split into 3 four-hour sessions.”

And as far as the matchmaking is concerned, to ensure a balanced competitive field, “the Clan roster will be locked the day before the Diamond Clan War begins. Any changes to the Clan roster after this time will not count towards the Clan War.”

Also, the Diamond Division will introduce a leaderboard “to showcase Clan performance throughout. Clans will earn Diamond Points depending on how they place in each Diamond war. A first place finish awards more Diamond Points than second, with second awarding more than third.”

While more information related to the Diamond Division is expected before its first start in February, a new Clan War starts in Call of Duty: Ghosts this Wednesday, January 15 at 8 PM GMT.
