Bioshock Infinite Free For PS Plus Users Tomorrow, Big Playstation Store Sale In Effect

Bioshock Infinite Free For PS Plus Users Tomorrow

Bioshock Infinite was undeniably one of the biggest games of last year so it was a huge deal for Sony to announce that it was being added to the Playstation Plus Instant Game Collection. Making it free for PS Plus users means that that many more people will be able to explore the sky-bound world of Columbia. Today Sony revealed on its Playstation Blog that it will be available tomorrow, January 14th, when the Playstation Store updates, adding to the already-impressive pile of free games like Don't Starve, DmC: Devil May Cry, Borderlands 2, and more.

Along with that welcome news Sony has also announced its first major sale for the new year. Called 14 for '14, the sale offers some deep discounts on popular PS3 and Vita titles, 14 different games for each platform. You can check here for a full list of titles on sale and I'd recommend picking up Far Cry Blood Dragon, which is a mere $3.75 for PS Plus users, or the ultra-creepy Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut which is only $5.24 for the cross-buy version. The season pass for Telltale's The Wolf Among Us is also on sale for $13.49, which is a great deal, if Telltale ever gets cracking on releasing the rest of those damn episodes. (I'm not bitter! I just love the first episode so much and we've been waiting months already! Alright, I'm bitter) The sale starts tomorrow and runs through the 20th.

If you are a PS Plus user this week is your last chance to get Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD or ICO for free, both incredible games in their own right.

There are a number of new releases hitting the Playstation Store tomorrow as well. Perhaps the most notable is Assassin's Creed Liberation HD. If that title seems familiar it's because it's the Vita version, now upgraded in HD and optimized for the PS3. The PS3 will also see the release of PC hit The Raven - Legacy of a Master Thief, while the Vita will get releases like Age of Zombies and Doodle Devil. Fans of more even obscure titles can find the the import version of the unreleased-on-these-shores Double Dragon (one based on the 90s film!).

Sony has smart as hell with their releases and discounts and each week just seems to drive that point home even further. Don't forget that we still have many more free games coming this month for PS Plus, inclduing the highly-acclaimed Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
