Fans of "Outlander" season 3 have been anticipating the reunion of Claire and Jamie. While the cast and crew haven't revealed on what particular episode the star -crossed lovers will reunite, fans have been hoping that they will follow the book. Speculations are rife that "The Shop" scene was finally done and Caitriona Balfe has confirmed it.
'Outlander' Season 3 Major Spoilers
Claire Randall Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) had undergone a lot over the previous seasons and more seem to come in "Outlander" season 3. From living in a new century to finding another love in the person of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) to eventually losing it, it appears there's nothing that she can't overcome. Fans have been anticipating the reunion of the star-crossed lovers and Balfe took time away from her busy schedule to discuss just that.
Speaking to Variety, the actress revealed that she hasn't filmed many scenes with "Outlander" season 3 co-star Heughan. As many fans can recall, Claire traveled back through the stones to raise her daughter with Frank (Tobias Menzies) while Jamie stayed behind to fight in the Battle of Culloden. Although the couple is expected to reunite this season, fans will see how they live their separate lives for twenty years.
Claire & Jamie's Reunion
According to reports, Balfe's comments confirm that production of the Print Shop scene is well underway. This means that the memorable moment from the books will probably be featured in episode 6 or 7 of "Outlander" season 3.
Claire had to wait three decades before reuniting with Jamie and her survival mentality has helped her throughout this time, Express reported. "And again, when she comes back into the 20th century, even though she's lost the love of her life (as far as she knows), she doesn't just disintegrate. She gets herself together," Balfe explained.
"Outlander" season 3 is based on Diana Gabaldon's third book in the series, titled "Voyager." The book story narrates Jamie and Claire traveling across the ocean to exotic places. As such, fans can expect more of the same when the show returns to Starz next year. "Outlander" season 3 is expected to premiere on Starz in early 2017.
