‘Dota 2’ Latest News & Update: Is Version 7.00 Worth The Update? Patch Changes Detailed

"Dota 2" has been around since 2013 but the version 7.00 has got to be the biggest change yet in the history of the free-to-play multiplayer video game. However, fans have mixed reactions to the patch update. Some are impressed while some are left confused with the changes which involve relearning.

According to reports, the "Dota 2" 7.00 patch is over 6 GB in size and comes with visual changes to the interface as well as to the menu. The overhaul makes the game appear more sleek and organized as players can now easily browse through. The UI also somewhat appears similar with the one in "League of Legends."

"Dota 2" gamers are also impressed with the new Aghanim's Scepter upgrades, which is most efficient with proper teamwork. Another addition is the Talents which allows players to add to their respective Skill Tree instead of automatically adding upgrades to the base skills of heroes. This is available only after reaching levels 10, 15, 20 and 25. But as detailed in ESPN, professional gamer Sam "BuLba" Sosale said that the third talent is still a bit confusing for now.

Everyone also gets a backpack which gamers can use to carry three additional items. However, these additional items cannot be activated and do not come with bonuses, as detailed in Game Spot. The map of "Dota 2" has also been updated.

However, the downside to the "Dota 2" 7.00 patch are the bugs that came along with it. Reports said that the update brought in lots of bugs which players continue to discover throughout the game. The most problematic is the bug disrupting the game's chat box, which hinders gamers from properly communicating.

But overall, the "Dota 2" 7.00 patch is a decent upgrade to the title and it's worth checking out. Fans will just have to watch out for updates regarding bug fixes and other issues.
