According to Variety, "Orange is the New Black" actress Ruby Rose is in talks to join "Pitch Perfect 3." In that case, she'll be joining "Pitch Perfect" main cast Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow. Rose's role in "Pitch Perfect 3" remains under wraps for now but there are murmurs suggesting that Rose will somehow be related to Wilson's Fat Amy.
Rumor has it that Ruby Rose will be introduced as Fat Amy's estranged sister in "Pitch Perfect 3." Rose and Wilson are both Australian actresses with their distinct accent. It's likely that the two could somehow be related in the upcoming movie, but this has not been confirmed yet. More details about Rose's character should come to light in the coming months. The 30-year-old model is currently loaded for 2017 with the following movies: "XXX: Return of Xander Cage," "Resident Evil: Final Chapter" and "John Wick 2."
Meanwhile, in other "Pitch Perfect 3" news, Skylar Astin, who played Jesse in the first two "Pitch Perfect" movies, confirmed that he won't be returning for the third installment. Besides confirming his absence, he also revealed that the third movie seems to be "taking the story in a different direction" by no longer having the Treblemakers. This could be heartbreaking for "Pitch Perfect" fans because the all-male a capella group headed by Astin's character is a favorite in the movie.
Actors that have already been confirmed to return for "Pitch Perfect 3" are Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Elizabeth Banks, Brittany Snow and Hailee Steinfield. The third movie is coming to cinemas on Dec. 22, 2017.
