Battlefield 4 News: Second Assault DLC Hits PC in January or February? [REPORT]
DICE and EA are still doing what they can to fix Battlefield 4 and its multitude of problems, bugs, errors, and glitches for just about every platform. The game's second DLC, the aptly named Second Assault, hit the Xbox One first as a timed exclusive in November. Right about then was when gamers started finding a multitude of faults within the game, sending EA and DICE to work at fixing the problems before they would release the DLC on any other platforms. Now, it looks like they're actually making progress as an EA representative has marked the DLC for a PC release this February.
VG247 is reporting a web chat conversation between an EA's Customer Experience team named Dhruv, and an Origin user who was kind enough to tweet a screen cap of the convo on his Twitter account. According to Dhruv, the DLC will arrive on PC in February. However, it's important to keep in mind that this picture was uploaded in late November, more than enough time for the DLC's release to have been rescheduled. Also, looking at the same Twitter account, there are screen caps of another conversation between another team member that has different information. While Druv says the DLC will hit PC in February, Rishi says it should be coming at the end of the month.
Whichever team member is right, at least it's not too far off. The DLC was supposed to hit PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360 in early December. If this information is legit, Second Assault should hit consoles shortly thereafter, if not at the same time.
Second Assault first released on November 27, but users were quick to report problems, the first of many included not being able to download the DLC. The DLC restored the Capture the Flag mode for the game's multiplayer, and offers four redesigned Battlefield 3 maps: Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman, Operation Firestorm, and Operation metro. Joining these new maps are 10 new assignments, and at least two returning Battlefield guns - the F2000 bullpup assault rifle, and AS Val Soviet assault rifle.
