Adam Klein was crowned season 33 winner during the Wednesday, December 14, finale.

"Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X" is the 33rd season of the American CBS competitive reality television series, "Survivor," that started off with two tribes of 10 new castaways each. The teams were divided by generation: Team Takali consisted of Millennials (castaways born between 1984 and 1997), while Team Vanua with Generation X (castaways born between 1963 and 1982).

Heading into the finale of "Survivor: Millenials vs. Gen X" were six players, three from each tribe. The Millennials included barista Hannah Shapiro, homeless shelter manager Klein and real estate agent Jay Starrett. The three Gen X'ers were police sergeant Bret LaBelle, TV writer David Wright and model Ken McNickle. One castaway emerged as the winner and it was none other than the homeless manager Adam Klein.

Adam Klein, whose mother was suffering from stage four lung cancer, went to Fiji to compete on the favorite television show, "Survivor," to play for her mother. In many episodes in "Survivor: Millenials vs. Gen X," he talked often of wanting to honor his mother through his gameplay and completing their dream, which actually began when they both auditioned together a few years ago for the "Blood vs. Water" season.
