NBA Trade Rumors, Latest News and Updates: Rudy Gay to OKC? What the Minnesota Timberwolves is Looking for Next Year

The Minnesota Timberwolves is in need of an effective player on the frontcourt so it can improve its performance for this season. The Wolves are hoping to seal a championship win with a proper gameplan and effective players.

Timberwolves starting lineup

With a powerful starting lineup composed of Gorgui Dieng, Andrew Wiggins, Ricky Rubio, Karl Anthony Towns and Zach LaVine, it is almost unthinkable for this team to lose big. The only problem is aside from these worthy NBA players, the team has no worthy alternative.

Analysts explained that the Minnesota Timberwolves have contacted other teams to find players which will help them strengthen their front court. Team coach Tom Thibodeau might also be looking for great defensive players for the team.

The best thing for the Wolves to do now is be smart in their trade decisions as it would determine the type of talent they will add to their bench. These will also be the people whom the team will count on once their starting lineup is resting.

Where is Rudy Gay heading?

Meanwhile, one of the potential players eyed by some teams is Rudy Gay. The Sacramento Kings small forward is said to be target for teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers.

Adding Gay in the roster of the OKC Thunder will not displace star player Kevin Durant but he is sure to help the latter score more for the team since he has an average of 18.6 points per game. Gay will be a great option for OKC aside from Durant and Russel Westbrook.

Gay is an example of a player whom team will surely want for their roster because he provides great support to other players and can produce points for the team. Who do you think are the other players who could be traded next year?
