Apple iPhone Latest News & Update: Dual Sim Feature Available Soon In The Latest Device?

Apple fans are still months away from the new Apple iPhone but there are now a lot of reports on how unique the latest Apple iPhone is, like the curved OLED screen and disregarding the physical home button. But now it is said that the latest iPhone will now come in handy with its rumored Dual-Sim feature where users can switch from one phone number to another and vice versa.

The Dual-Sim access has been widely popular in counties like India and China which they can instantly go from their work number to their personal number. This is something that the Apple iPhone is not capable of as of now according to Forbes. Without this feature it limits Apples' ability to grow as a mobile producer in some countries. However, Apple has now been considering producing a dual-sim version of their iPhones.

China's State Intellectual Property Office has documents filed where it presented that an Apple iPhone would allow the dual-Sim card feature where users can store two of their phone numbers. According to the filing, the application was submitted last March 2016 and was published on September 2016.

In the Apple iPhone, one of the inventors that was that was named in the filing was Li Su which according to the report her LinkedIn profile stated that she is a "principal architect for cellular software at Apple." Li Su was also listed together with Ming Hu and Guojie Dong who are Apple wireless cellular engineers during the awarding of Apple's patent for the dual Sim card technology in the United States.

However, if the Dual Sim feature does materialize, it might add some more bulk and weight to the new Apple iPhone but this might be prevented by using an embedded SIM card or eSIM. Apple has began shipping eSIMs for their 9.7- inch iPad Pro this year.
