OMEN X Specs, Price & Review: Gaming PC Can Play 'Battlefield 1,' 'Rainbow Six:Siege' & 'Arma' At 60 To 80 Fps

HP and Maingear have collaborated to create a gaming rig that can play "Battlefield 1" in maximum settings and 75 fps. The OMEN X will blow you away with its incredible performance.

Avid gamers have long preferred the personal computer as the best platform for any game. Its appeal as an all-rounder rig has beaten consoles since their humble beginning. Games like "Battlefield 1" and "Witcher 3" require serious computing power.

Some consoles would suffer terrible fps drops when there's heavy rendering. That's where the PC takes advantage. Lower spec PC's will still be able to enjoy manageable fps through optimal settings; afeature that's not available with the PS4 and The Xbox One. You'll have to upgrade to newer versions just to keep up with the evolving level of game graphics.

OMEN X Comes With The Best Hardware

So what exactly does the Omen X deliver? According to HP, it's a beast. Inside HP and Maingear's PC is a powerful mix of impressive hardware. It has 4.0GHz Core i7-6700HK quad core processor combined with 16GB DDR4 RAM. It also has the latest GTX 1080 Founder's Edition GPU. With the trio, gamers can enjoy smooth framerates that games demand out of the PC.

To round up the specs is a 2TB hard drive with a 256GB SSD, Bluetooth 4.0 and an 802.11ac WiFi adapter. HP and Maingear also made sure to include a 1300W Gold efficiency power supply.

Omen X Can Run High Spec Games At Max Settings Of 60 to 80 Fps

In benchmark tests done by TechCrunch, all five high spec games ran smooth with max settings. "Battlefield 1" ran at 75 fps, "Rainbow Six: Siege" went between 60 and 80 fps. "Arma III" also ran at an impressive pace of 70 fps. That's quite an impressive feat, considering that the rig is not equipped with the TITAN X GPU.

gamers also have to take note that HP priced the OMEN X for $2,149. That's four times the price of the latest generation consoles like the Xbox One S and PS4 Pro. With the price of both gaming platforms, console gamers will have a good argument of why opting for a console remains attractive.
