When BlizzCon 2016 was approaching, fans of "Diablo 4" were excited that Blizzard Entertainment will announce the release date of the fourth instalment. Some got confused about the dice that seems to hint that the big reveal will happen soon. However, Christmas season is around the corner and fans are still hoping for some relevant news.

"Diablo 4" Release Date, News & Update: Blizzard Entertainment Cancelled Fourth Installment?

Blizzard Entertainment has been silent about the fate of "Diablo 4." It has neither cancelled nor confirmed the release of the much anticipated fourth instalment. Instead, Blizzard Entertainment released the new Necromancer Class for "Diablo 3."

Some prominent people who have worked with "Diablo" previously were rumoured to be working on "Diablo 4." However, they were quick to deny the allegations.

David Brevik, who had worked for "Diablo 2" had already confirmed that he is not working on the fourth instalment, but that he is proud to be part of the family. Even former vice president Bill Roper has also denied on working for "Diablo 4."

The latest update in "Diablo 3" allows the player to choose from male or female character. Gamers are excited to know if the other characters like, Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor and Wizard, will be present in "Diablo 4" - that is, if the fourth instalment will get to be released.

Speculations reveal that the team in Blizzard Entertainment are busy with the "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" DLC that they cannot prioritize working on "Diablo 4." The fan base of the third instalment is rumoured to be so strong that game developers are having second thoughts in developing "Diablo 4."
