The tech giant plans to outwork the PS4 Pro by releasing a more powerful console with the same price. According to AusGamers, Microsoft's Phil Spencer seems to back the idea. Spencer reiterated the stance of the company towards the development of a more powerful console than Sony's PS4 Pro.They'll be aiming to outgun the PS4 Pro's specs and will be releasing the new console next year.

Xbox Scorpio Might Retail For $500 to $600 

Sony and Nintendo have also been active in developing new technology for the future of gaming. Both companies aim to push the limits of their own consoles by introducing new game elements. Nintendo has already publicized their hybrid "Switch" console and leaks have indicated that Sony is developing the PS5.

In a post by Express, Phil Spencer said in a statement that he plans to sell the Xbox Scorpio at an attractive price. He said that despite the console's high specs, he's expecting that it will retail for $500 to $600. As for the validity of the statement, Spencer said that it's just a possible amount. Microsoft has not yet released the official retail price of the Xbox Scorpio.

Xbox Scorpio Would Be 5 Times More Powerful Than The PS4

If the statement would be true, Xbox Scorpio would pose a huge threat to Sony's PS4 Pro. The price would be a little bit higher compared to Sony's console but you'd have a device that can outdo the PS4 Pro.

In comparison, the PS4 Pro has 4.2 teraflops of GPU while the Xbox Scorpio will reportedly have 6 teraflops. That's almost five times the rendering power of the PS4. The new Xbox will support a true 4k resolution and support for VR. Until the new PS5 will come out in 2019 or 2020, Microsoft's Xbox Scorpio will be dominating in the years to come.
