Just recently, Koei Tecmo and a few other developers revealed the next installment in the hit hack and slash series, "Dynasty Warriors". The next entry is looking to be the most different entry in the franchise and long-time fans are sure to jump into the game immediately. There are a few details revealed about "Dynasty Warriors" 9 already and we're pretty excited about it.
"Dynasty Warriors" 9 is set to have an open-world, Gematsu reports. The open-world and play area is expected to be a simulation of early China. It's a pretty exciting feature as past titles have restricted players to maps with a lot of boundaries that make the huge battles feel somewhat small.
Omega Force believed the shift in the gameplay style is needed as there's no use is giving the 9th entry the same formula again. The feature will be accompanied by the power of the current gen of consoles so "Dynasty Warriors" 9 could be pretty huge. However, there are still a few restrictions that players will encounter.
"Dynasty Warriors" 9 will reproduce China in the game. However, mountainous areas will serve as restrictions as to where battles can be held. Fans of the franchise will still come across monumental areas like Hulao Pass and Zhongyuan higher detail.
The control scheme of "Dynasty Warriors" 9 will not remain the same. Omega Force is said that there will be a change in how the game is played. Gameplay-wise, another returning feature is the massive size of battles that pits the player against thousands of AI.
Lastly, "Dynasty Warriors" 9 will have a cast of 83 characters. All of the characters from the past titles will make an appearance in the next entry. Players can also expect to see a cast of new faces like Zhou Cang.
