People are still dying to see gameplay footage for PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886 but for now they'll have to deal with this story trailer. It doesn't really tell us anything we don't currently know but it does show off a couple of the characters and sums up the story for newcomers.
Dubbed 'The Pledge', this trailer lets you know all about the world the game is set in. This Neo-Victorian shows an alternate history where half-breed monsters started appearing and got so powerful that an Order of men (Arthur and his knights of legend) had to band together and fight them off. They have done so now for hundreds of years and continueto do so until the time period of the game. The battle was being lost but thanks to the advent of the Industrial Revolution and its new technology (which is this world includes electicity, zeppelins, and all kinds of fun stuff) they started to turn the tide against the monsters.
The Order isn't loved by all, though. Their control over society has grown to a point that the humans they were originally sworn to protect have decided to stage an uprising. In London the rebels claim the Order is a dictatorship, and they take up arms against them, fighting against their oppression But now something else has happened, something even darker. Three words- Jack the Ripper.
The Order 1886 has already had its fair share of controversy over its lack of multiplayer and sticking to 30fps but it's undeniable how interesting the game sounds. Check out the trailer below.
