In the classic "Super Mario" game, aside from the iconic character Mario the game players get to encounter and play some of the notable characters from the game like Luigi, Princess Peach, his Yoshi and the mushrooms Toad and Toadette. In "Super Mario Run", there's not much difference. All these memorable characters are available and here is how you can unlock all of them.
The first character that a player can unlock in the "Super Mario Run", is the damsel in distress Princess Peach, who is held hostage by the evil Bowser. To unlock Princess Peach, you have to accomplish and complete the whole game. Mario will get a kiss from the princess at the end.
When the "Super Mario Run" player can unlock Princess Peach the can now use her as the character to play with in the game where her special skill is "unlimited hovering" according to Phone Arena. Players can tap once to jump and another more while in midair to hover where her skirt allows her to float.
To unlock the character Toad in the "Super Mario Run" all the players need to do is to link their My Nintendo Account which is considered as a free reward in My Nintendo Rewards. Toad's special skill is being able to run faster than the other characters. Toad begins as a big character, but unfortunately it can only take a single hit.
Mario's brother, Luigi can be unlocked in the "Super Mario Run" when players can build Luigi's house in the kingdom mode which requires 150 Green Toads and 150 Purple Toads from Toad Rally. Players need to choose their opponents carefully or they could lose a lot in their toad collection.
Luigi can jump higher than any of the characters available in the "Super Mario Run". Yoshi on the other hand can be unlocked when the players can collect 30 Red Toads and 30 Green Toads in Toad rally where his special skills includes fluttering in the air where it will be useful in getting the coins.
Lastly Toadette can be unlocked with a larger amount of Toads, 200 Red, Blue, Green, Purple and Yellow. Players can unlock Toadette in the "Super Mario Run" when they have already unlocked Peach.
