"RIGS Mechanized Combat League," PlayStation VR's exclusive first-person eSports action game, is getting a makeover for the winter. On December 20, Guerilla Games will start a staggered release of the game's Winter Season Update.
"RIGS Mechanized Combat League" Debuts Zurich Arena, New RIGS
Guerilla Games said via the PlayStation Blog that it will "drop content throughout the winter" to keep fans of "RIGS Mechanized Combat League" return for more. The game's winter update will feature "the first European stadium" in Zurich, Switzerland. The new arena has four bowls to let RIGS pilots make sweet jumps.
A week after the new arena debuts, Guerilla Games will release the first wave of upgraded APX RIGS, which feature higher top speed courtesy of its improved boost system. "RIGS Mechanized Combat League's" new RIGS will unlock two new abilities: air dodge and back dodge. APX Test Rigs will be unlocked on December 27, along with Vampire RIGS. On January 10, APX Nuke RIGS will be launched.
Pilots Are Up For Challenges In "RIGS Mechanized Combat League"
"RIGS Mechanized Combat League's" Winter Season Update will introduce weekly challenges to put pilot skills to test. Each week, pilots should try and complete high-risk challenges, increasing in difficulty each time. Complete all and earn the rewards starting with a pilot customization item. Gamers also have the chance to earn huge credits that they can use to buy trinkets from the Customization Store and give your avatar a makeover.
More Things To Come In "RIGS Mechanized Combat League"
Guerilla Games said the Customization Store will receive regular content updates, and will occasionally offer limited edition items. The team also adds that the "RIGS Mechanized Combat League" Winter Season Update is merely the beginning. Guerilla Games will be dropping more update in the coming months.
