Nintendo Switch Release Update, Price And Specs: Dragon Quest XI Confirmed

Nintendo Switch Release Update, Price & Specs: On the latest update, the specifications for the upcoming Nintendo Switch gaming console is confirmed, as reported by Express. It is also believed that 'Dragon Quest XI' is among the playable games for the new console.

Nintendo Switch will have a CPU power that will be the same either docked or undocked. It will have a core running at 1020MHZ. As reported by Digital, it says that "this ensures that running game logic won't be compromised while gaming on the go: the game simulation itself will remain entirely consistent."

When it comes to Nintendo Switch GPU clock speeds, it will be locked at 768MHZ when docked, while the performance may go down a bit when undocked. The reason for this is to hit the thermal and battery life targets of the console.

So by the time the Nintendo Switch runs 307.2MHz during its portable mode, it runs 40 percent less the clockspeed if compared to when it is docked.

Regarding its price, it's still too early to learn that for now. The projected actual market value for Nintendo Switch is expected to be announced as early as January 2017. However, it is expected that the new gaming console be cheaper that its competition in the market.

Nintendo Switch is also believed to be catering Nvidia's latest Maxwell graphics processing architecture. It will be having a teraflop performance, but will fall below Xbox One and PS4. So the market value will be lower than the others as mentioned.

With the expected release by next year, there is already a list of games that can be played using Nintendo Switch. Among these are Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a Mario game, Pokemon, and LEGO.

Dragon Quest XI is also expected to be playable on Nintendo Switch. However, no final release date has been announced.
