‘Minecraft Pocket Edition’ News & Updates: Ender Update Now Available; Opens Third World With Ender Dragon

Mojang recently launched The Ender Update for "Minecraft Pocket Edition," officially marking the end of the beta version. The new patch now labels the game as "Minecraft Pocket Edition" version 1.0.

"Minecraft Pocket Edition" The Ender Update Features

PhoneArena wrote that "Minecraft Pocket Edition" with The Ender Update is currently available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Windows 10 Edition. The "Minecraft Pocket Edition" update provides several big changes to the game, such as the ability to kil the Ender Dragon boss, the addition of cities, artifacts and ships, the presence of polar bears, igloos and Ender crystals. The Ender Update also brought world template support, the ability to make lingering potions and tipped arrows in survival and the ability to respawn the Ender Dragon.

Xbox Newswire stated that Mojang and Microsoft previously launched a trailer for the "Minecraft Pocket Edition" Ender Update, to celebrate the game's 5th anniversary. The update also includes a world seed library that will help players find more worlds that they may like, music and added height to build structures.

The new patch increased the height from 128 to 256 blocks. The "Minecraft Pocket Edition" Ender Update provides a third dimension to the game, called The End, together with its epic boss. After defeating the Ender Dragon, players can explore the outer islands of the new dimension and its mysterious End Cities.

"Minecraft Pocket Edition" More Bonuses and Support

Those who already own "Minecraft Pocket Edition" can get The Ender Update for free, but those who have yet to avail can purchase it at $7. Mojang also provided a pack of Christmas-themed skins for "Minecraft Pocket Edition," which lets players dress up as different Christmas characters. The Christmas pack costs $4. The Ender Update also features Oculus Touch support for those who wish to try the Oculus Rift version of the game.

"Minecraft Pocket Edition" was developed by Aron Nieminen in only three months, but the game has grown to become one of the most popular versions of the title. "Minecraft Pocket Edition" currently has 40 million players.
