Justin Bieber’s Fur Coat In LA Weather Becomes Viral On Twitter; PETA Hits Canadian Singer

Canadian singer Justin Bieber just made another fashion statement on Tuesday when he was seen leaving a holiday party wearing a thick fur coat suitable for North Pole weather. However, he is in Los Angeles where the temperature in West Hollywood is 76 degrees Celsius, although at night it is 50 degrees.

His fur coat, paired with a white shirt and torn jeans, became trending on Twitter as users commented on its use during warmer weather. Time notes that it is not only Justin Bieber who is into fur coats but also Beyonce with her Lemonade fur and Rihanna’s heart-shaped fur cover.

PETA Hits Justin

The “Cold Water” singer, who has a video in his skivvies in freezing water, became the target of animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals which called Justin Bieber a “self-absorbed childish showoff.” PETA scored Justin Bieber for not realizing his purchasing habits are the cause of needless suffering of animals such as baby tigers, baby monkeys, and wild coyotes, Daily Mail reports. When asked by a British daily if his fur coat is real, Justin Bieber replied, “hell yeah.”

Besides Justin Bieber’s wearing a fur coat, PETA cited his past mistakes involving live animals. In 2013, he brought with him Mally, a baby capuchin monkey, to Germany even if it lacked vaccine and import papers after he arrived in Munich. Mally is now cared for in a German zoo. In early 2016, Justin Bieber posed with a chained tiger at the engagement party of his father in Toronto. PETA claimed the tiger at Bowmanville Zoo is a victim of vicious whipping, leading to the filing of five counts of animal cruelty against the zoo owner.

On Twitter, Prance530 asked Justin Bieber: “Did U know animals are skinned alive & tortured for that fur of yours?” Macie added, “it’s too late to say you're sorry to the coyotes who died for your fur” which is a play on his hit song “Sorry.”

However, +resy pointed out there are a lot of people who wear fur coats, so why should critics single out and Justin Bieber? Ebands pointed out that Kanye West and other men too also wear fur coats.
