LUFTRAUSERS Release Date Set for Vita, PC, PS3: The Latest From Ridiculous Fishing Developer Vlambeer Hits in March [VIDEO]

Patriots! LUFTRAUSERS Gets a Release Date of March 18th.

Acclaimed developer Vlambeer (Ridiculous Fishing, the upcoming Nuclear Throne) and equally acclaimed publisher Devolver Digital (Hotline Miami, Broforce) have announced that the upcoming aerial dogfighting sim LUFTRAUSERS will be hitting PS3, Vita, PC, Ma and Linux via Steam and Humble on the 18th of March.

"OH DEAR GOD FINALLY YES," said Rami Ismail, 50% of developer Vlambeer in a statement. If you're interested in joining the fight you can go to their official site where you can learn more about it, play the original web game, and pre-order the game for 10% off.

There are two editions of the game. The standard one costs $9.99 price and comes with 1 DRM-free download of the game. PS Plus owners will be able to get the PS3 edition for a mere $7.99 when it hits as well as part of Sony's Spring Fever sale.

If you're truly patriotic and want to do your best for the cause you can splurge for the LUFTRAUSERS Air Raid Pack, which will put you back $749.99. What's it have? 1 DRM-free download of the game and 100 giftable Steam keys. Enough for an army!

"I honestly thought LUFTRAUSERS released back in 2012," said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker when reached for comment. "Ironically, I spent what I thought was LUFTRAUSERS royalties on a private jet."

Perhaps he was thinking about SkyFar, the infamous LUFTRAUSERS clone that was released to shortly after Vlambeer's announcement. It's not the first time they've had to deal with people stealing their ideas and art style- just look at what happened with Ninja Fishing being released before Ridiculous Fishing- but it's a sad indication of how dirty the market currently is.

As for LUFTRAUSERS, the dogfighting game is apparently a blast, quite literally, as you can see in the video below.
