HBO "Game of Thrones" fans may opt to play several video games listed below while waiting for the next Season of the series. Aside from the Telltale Games' multiplatform take on the HBO series, the likes of "Dishonored 2" and "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" may also appease the HBO series fans. Furthermore, the couple behind the HBO sci-fi series "Westworld" reportedly revealed the likes of "Grand Theft Auto" as inspiration for the show.
"Skyrim", "Dishonored": Name Your HBO "Game of Thrones" While-Waiting Game
HBO is expected to air "Game of Thrones" in a month or more. Apparently, viewers may choose from titles like "Stronghold 2", "Torchlight 2" and "Dishonored", among others while waiting for the HBO series to return on television. Note that "Stronghold 2" is a new game that features castle-building and commanding armies in the battlefield, Geeks.media reported.
The PC release of the "Torchlight Sequel" is reportedly not far away from the HBO series. The game reportedly combines heroes against the forces of the world with magic, combat and a wolf companion.
"Dishonored" is also a game with elaborate assassinations, magic, daggers and weapons. Additionally, "Skyrim" reportedly stands out with dragons, magic and violence with thousands of mods available for free. In addition, there is Telltale Game's take on the HBO series available in several platforms including PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC as well as Android and iOS.
HBO Westworld Showrunners Reveal Inspiration For Series
In other news, the husband and wife showrunners of the HBO sci-fi Western series "Westworld" reportedly revealed the inspiration for the show. Lisa Joy reportedly noted Gummi Bears being her sanctuary as a child so she reportedly used them as inspiration for the show. Jonathan Nolan, on the other hand noted the excitement over "GTA "games to inspired the world-building on the HBO series.
The HBO show reportedly took note of "GTA's" interlocking narrative as well. Nolan further noted that the hosts may be likened to NPCs while the guest would be the hero, Comicbook.com reported. The one-hour drama series was also inspired by the 1973 motion picture Westworld.
