"Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Velvet Shell "is already available. With a number of big changes, this patch note is the first DLC for the game this year.
On this update, two G.E.O. Operators will be joining Team Rainbow to regain control of the "Coastline." This update also aims to improve the comfort of a player with customization selections, upgraded navigation interface and much more.
"Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Velvet Shell's"operators will be Jackal and Mira. Jackal is an attacker who can see enemy footprints. Mira, on the other hand, is a defender who can install a bulletproof, with a black mirror on walls.

GameSpot also noted that the update will also feature a new map, Coastline. This map will be free for all players which will then feature the new "Two-Layer Destruction" system. The said team will be safeguarding the seashore of Ibiza, Spain.
These will be available for season pass players while the rest can purchase these for next week. It is also worth to note that there will be a bit of a UI refresh for the game changes, Vg247 added. This will aim to make the interface navigation more dynamic.
The new UI will be having a selection which allows players to have a quick access to the last game mode, referred as personalized play button. It will also display news, challenges, and boosters in the same place.
Another feature would be the four new Velvet Shell Signature weapon skins. These are Chupinazo, El Dorado, Leon Furioso and Crossfader. These are sleek and have vibrant designs which are inspired by the colors of the Spanish shores.
The update will be a one-hour maintenance available to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Xbox One will start at 10-10:59 AM EST. PC will start at 11-11:59 AM EST and PS4 at 9-9:59 AM EST.
