"Halo Wars 2" is all geared up for an ultimate game experience. This second generation of the game introduces a brand new multi-player game mode known as Blitz. Everything is new from console to the developer including new enemies. The gameplay provides a genre that is characterized by the building of decks based on a card strategy. The new addition to the game is its ability for Xbox Play Anywhere.

According to PCAdvisor, the new "Halo Wars 2" is to be played on a real-time strategy patterned after the 2009 war game created by Ensemble Studios. However, the new developers of the game, Creative Assembly had made some tweak to give the game a refreshed and updated version. Its competitive edge over all other games is the RTS that is being pinched into a console controller.

In a report by Gamespot, "Halo Wars 2" brings with it a new story and it will introduce the new enemy name Atriox and his group of mercenaries. The game will allow gameplay on Xbox One and Windows 10. On February 21, 2017, the game will make a great comeback with a big bang after 8 long years of hiatus. While everything is almost all new, but the game is designed for a gamepad not the conventional mouse-and-keyboard system.

"Halo Wars 2" is now ready for pre-orders at £39.99 from Amazon or Game  that comes with two exclusive packs of Blitz cards. The new game mode is a fusion of the RTS and the collectible card game. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Edition can be pre-ordered at £64.99. With pre-orders, the buyer will also have a DLC season pass and the Halo Wars: Definitive Edition.
