'Torment: Tides of Numenera': Successor RPG To Planescape, Now For Simultaneous Launch On PS4, Windows PC & Xbox One

"Torment: Tides of Numenera", the successor role-playing game to Planescape is now ready to be launched simultaneously on PS4, Windows PC and Xbox One.

"Torment: Tides of Numenera", the successor role-playing game to Planescape is now ready to be launched simultaneously on PS4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Considered as one of the heavily-funded Kickstarter game by InXile Entertainment, the game has now a release date, February 28, 2017.

According to Polygon, "Torment: Tides of Numenera" had a serious history of delays that brought worries to the more than 74,000 people who have poured down $4.2 million. It was planned to be released back in December 2014 but it did not happen. Recently, Techland Publishing, a company based in Poland join InXile to finally ensure the games release and distribution.

In a report by PCGamer, "Torment: Tides of Numenera" has been developed with inspiration from the 1999 cult classic role-playing game Planescape. However, the game has its own and unique design and features, making it different from its model. It embodies an ambitious art and craft for a game in itself.

"Torment: Tides of Numenera" is a game that is set in time one billion years into the future of humankind. It is adopted from the science-fantasy universe genre by the author and designer Monte Cook, a famous video games and tabletop RPG creator. Assisting Cook were Brian Fargo who did the writing and Chris Avellone who did the designing of the game.

In the interactive quest video that was released for "Torment; Tides of Numenera", it was shown that as role-playing game, the gamer is provided with choices to do the game. It comes with seven outcomes to delve into such as helping, hindering, diving in, messing up, to fail or to succeed or even die in the quest. The outcome depends on the gamer.
