'Path Of Exile: The Fall Of Oriath' Expansion: Fifth Act Introduces Wraeclast Gods Post Beast Defeat

'Path Of Exile: The Fall Of Oriath' Expansion: Fifth Act Introduces Wraeclast Gods Post Beast Defeat

"Path of Exile" is set to have its biggest expansion pack addition, "The Fall of Oriath.  The action-RPG will receive a brand new fifth act and four new acts that will look familiar to the players.

Game developer Grinding  Gear Games decided that instead of players repeating the first four acts to reach the endgame of Atlas of Worlds three times, players will experience first a new set of adventure through the fifth act.  This will introduce the gods of Wraeclast that woke up after the defeat of the Beast. The succeeding four acts will look familiar, since it will be the same four acts of the original game, but will contain new enemies and more powerful gods.

Additionally, the "Path of Exile: The Fall of Oriath" expansion pack will usher in a new customization system for the player's characters.  The studio has added a new set of skills that will become available once the players annihilates the gods in the game. They will also then be able to upgrade their new earned abilities as they continue to with the game, Toms Hardware reported.

"Path of Exile" was originally released for the Windows PC only back in 2013.  With the upcoming expansion pack, the studio will also expand its reach and make it available with the Xbox One.  However, players deciding to get both versions will not be able to share the game's progress between the two versions, according to GameSpot.

According to the studio, the cross-play of the game is not possible due to the minor difference for the two versions.  Two such differences,  the Grinding Gear pointed out, is the available number of slots for the Flask and the way the skills are targeted.  Aside from those, the game will "follow the same content and league release schedule."

The studio has not released its exact launch date, but "Path of Exile: The Fall of Oriath" is expected to arrive on the Windows PC and Xbox One this year.  The role-playing game will be free-to-play even on the Xbox, but there will be in-game purchases similar to the first game.
