"Horizon Zero Dawn" copies have allegedly been spotted in the wild with a Brazilian retailer reportedly selling the PS4 exclusive weeks before its release. It is expected that "Horizon Zero Dawn" would release publicly in the US on Feb. 28, 2017 while gamers in Europe may have to wait until Mar. 1, 2017 to get hold of the game. In the meantime, the "Horizon Zero Dawn" developers took a risk and placed a female character as the protagonist of the game.

New UK TV Commercial Outbreak

Sony also managed to release a new "Horizon Zero Dawn" TV commercial in the UK. Simultaneously, news broke out that several copies of "Horizon Zero Dawn" have already started to appear prior to the game's street date. The NEOGAF user viHuGi revealed the news of the post-release breakout, WCCFTech reported. It is expected that Sony would be able to manage the number of leaks that may breakout following the unauthorized release of the game.

In the previous week, Sony also revealed the full map of "Horizon Zero Dawn" after the game's preview embargo had been listed. Note that the game has been announced as a PS4 exclusive. Furthermore, "Horizon Zero Dawn" also went gold following a development cycle of 5-6 years.

"Horizon Zero Dawn" Protagonist Tagged As PlayStation Icon Of The Future

In other news, Sony recently revealed that the female protagonist of "Horizon Zero Dawn" may just be the console's icon of the future. The game is believed to be a new direction for the developer, Guerrilla Games. Note that instead for opting for a Killzone shooter, "Horizon Zero Dawn" takes on an open world RPG approach, GameSpot reported.

"Horizon Zero Dawn" is also believed to be the company's next big franchise. Interestingly, Sony had to conduct focus tests to see the reactions of gamers to a female protagonist inspired by the "Game of Thrones" character Ygritte. Moreover, Guerilla Games is said to be focused on creating a curious and determined character believable in this new world. Watch the new PS4 trailer here:
