Nintendo Switch Makes It Easy For Fans To Create IDs, Accounts; Launch Without 'Afterbirth'

Nintendo Switch buyers have already begun to create unique User IDs for the first hybrid consoles. Apparently, not creating one at the moment may mean having to settle for a non-dream User ID or have to create a very complex one. In addition, the "Binding of Isaac" developers have already confirmed that the game would be delayed and would not make it to the Nintendo Switch launch on Mar. 3, 2017.

Nintendo Switch Developers Make It Easy To Create An Account

Nintendo Switch fans who already have Nintendo Accounts have been noted to claim a Nintendo Account User ID. Apparently, the latter is a big requirement to play the Nintendo Switch console. Gamers are first tasked to create an email and password combination to be used to access the great majority of Nintendo services, Kotaku reported.

Then, the player is required to create a nickname which Nintendo will use in reference to Nintendo services. Furthermore, Nintendo users interfaced with the 3DS's Miiverse and the Wii U's eShop will need a Nintendo Network ID. It should be noted that Nintendo Switch buyers should first log into their Nintendo Account prior to making an Account User ID. The developers are yet to reveal why User IDs are necessary. Rumor has it that Nintendo may favor NNIDs.

Nintendo Switch Launches Without "Afterbirth+"

In other news, Nicalis recently confirmed via a blog post that "The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+" will no longer be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch. However, the game is still expected to launch on the Nintendo Switch but at a later date. The developer Nicalis has yet to reveal the release date for the expansion.

The Nintendo Switch version however is expected to come with a reversible cover and a limited edition sticker sheet along with a 20-page color instruction manual, Gamespot reported. It should be noted that the DLC pack is already playable on PC since last month and is also slated to come to both the PS4 and Xbox One platforms.

The "Afterbirth+" delay also means that the Nintendo Switch now only has nine games at launch. Watch the Announcement Trailer of the game here:
