'Mass Effect: Andromeda': BioWare Apologizes For 'Softcore Space Porn' Comments

It seems some consumers were reportedly offended by BioWare executive Aaryn Flynn's comment on Twitter. He reportedly replied to a customer's comment about the nudity and intimate scenes in "Mass Effect: Andromeda". Flynn apparently replied to the post to confirm that the game "is totally softcore porn" as a joke. However, he has reportedly apologized for his comment through Twitter.

The developer's general manager tweeted his apologies, as he told fans "sorry, I gave the wrong impression". He further elaborated more about what the game will offer when it comes out. Flynn pointed out the game's characters, romances and gameplay, which involve mature themes. He reportedly agrees that his comments on Twitter did not "come across right", and his usage of the word "totally" should have sounded sarcastic but did not, reports Game Rant.

The fan who originally made the "softcore space porn" comment seemingly felt guilty and expressed her intention to apologize for putting Flynn in a tight spot. However, it appears BioWare's official apology will definitely appease some consumers who were reportedly concerned about the mature content after the Twitter comments issue. Some fans apparently got worried about the RPG's romance being shallow. Fans have always enjoyed the emotions and relationships that players can cultivate during their adventures.

The developers obviously got worried after a fan noted that the game's sales might be affected if the gameplay only focuses on nudity alone. According to sources, fans will enjoy a somewhat different approach to the game's romance elements, unlike the first trilogy, where players start off choosing who to spend their time with. It seems "Andromeda" might introduce a new approach, which might seem more natural than forced.

Beside BioWare's "softcore space porn" comments, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" fans are reportedly interested about the game's multiplayer. According to Express, the game's development team recently shared that the mode will not allow players to change their character's faces, however, some level of customization will be available.
